New GOD in town!

If you will think about it, there is a new god in town and 99% of the people around you worship him including you. In the last 200 years this new god changed our lives, made us think that we are happier when we have more from him and even provide us stability (which is a wrong assumption). we use to worship this god and think about him day and night. we always in the hunt to have more from him and feel bad when we don’t have enough from him.

this new god calls in English “Money“! we became blinded from his divine power and we even can’t see why we want more from him and we are willing to sacrifice our families and even our own lives just so we can have more from him.

Think about your life and wake up

if you will stop and think about your life (this is what i am trying to achieve by writing this article), you will see that the most important thing in your life are your kids, wife (some will disagree :) ), parents and the inner circle like close friends. If you agree, that means that your actions suppose to support your family and friends. you suppose to spend more time with them, suppose to be happy near them so they can enjoy from you, give them good energy, suppose to be happy (crazy happy) every morning that you wake up and all your kids and wife wakes up with you (there are some families that not so happy and have this miracle).

Are Fruits Fatenning?

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Everyone knows that fruit is nutritious and generally good for us. It’s certainly better for us than the much of the food we eat. However, not all fruits are created equal and they may not always be the best thing to eat if you are trying to lose weight. Some fruits have more sugar and/or less fiber than others which would cause a spike in insulin levels and inhibit fat burning. The effect on insulin wouldn’t be much different than eating bread or even a cookie, even though the fruit is more nutritious.

The difference is how quickly sugar enters the bloodstream and elevates insulin levels. The fiber in many fruits slows this down so there is little or no increase in insulin levels. For example, the apple has about the same effect on insulin levels as a raw carrot, which is almost none, so fat burning would not be inhibited. When insulin levels spike, fat burning is stopped while insulin removes the excess sugar that your body can’t immediately burn or store in the muscles or the liver as glycogen, and stores it as fat. Very little sugar can be stored in the muscles and liver so most of the sugar in the bloodstream is stored as fat. Slowing down the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream allows the body to burn and store it as glycogen and keeps insulin levels low.

Healthy Foods

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Let’s face it: we all want to be healthier. Sometimes it’s easier to grab packaged food. For some it’s the convenience, for others it’s because packaged foods have the nutritional information spelled out in black-and-white for them, for others it’s simply a matter of not wanting to cook or not knowing what they should eat. Even vegetarians are guilty of grabbing for packages, instead of eating whole, nutritious fruits and vegetables. While there are many reasons to grab packaged foods, there are many reasons not to: they are usually devoid of nutrients, high calorie, full of hydrogenated oils, and simply not good for you. Packaged foods do not contain the minerals and vitamins that your body needs to protect itself from disease.

If you are ready to try some whole foods, or if you are looking for some new foods to add to your diet, check out a few healthy, vegetable and fruit superfoods that can add variety and essential vitamins and minerals into your diet.

Beets, cabbage, purslane, and swiss chard are highly overlooked as nutritious foods. Beets are an excellent source of betaine and folate, both of which work together to lower your blood levels of homocysteine, a compound that can increase the risk of heart disease. Beets also provide betacyanins, pigments that fight cancer. Cabbage helps the body create enzymes that protect cells from free radicals and reduce the risk of cancer, while purslane has the highest amount of omega-3′s in any edible plant.
