Toronto has been a home to loads of IT talents for almost decades. In fact, a face in the crowd is a friend of mine, who works as a top executive for an IT firm. I once got lucky to receive an invitation to his anniversary as he requested me to visit him in Toronto. Well, that was quite a good reason to visit the wonderful city, which is even touted as ‘Hollywood North’ and ‘Silicon Valley North’.
Toronto, the ‘Silicon Valley North’ is indeed one of the finest commercial creations of man in the present era. From sky kissing high-rises to extravagant markets and high-tech transportation systems, the city is the perfect contender for the ‘best metropolis’ title right after New York and London.
Toronto tagged as the ‘financial center of Canada’, has proliferated in employment and investment options in varied fields such as IT, fashion, film and television, banking and financial services, etc. The multi-ethnic inhabitants of the city simply prove Toronto a highly preferred choice among professionals from several parts of the world.
Rightly labeled as the ‘Silicon Valley North’, I was awestruck and impressed too, as I walked past the towering Canadian headquarters of Hewlett-Packard, Apple and Sun Microsystems. In fact, 7 of the top 10 IT firms have their headquarters and business centers here. The city stands at the 4th position housing numerous commercial software enterprises.
Toronto even bags the label of owning the finest telecommunications network in the entire globe. Just like my friend, who originates from Vancouver, and traveled over to Toronto in search of the best paid jobs and settled there, several aspiring job seekers all over Canada (and other parts of the world) move to this city looking for the best employment opportunities.
If you want to travel across the city and encounter the hustle and bustle the smooth transportation system is there to assist you.
